Tivoli Gardens frontman Nickalia Fuller is getting the recognition his prodigious talent deserves, after grabbing the lone goal in Jamaica's 1-0 win over hosts Grenada in an international friendly on Sunday.

The 21-year-old, who was making only his second international appearance for the Reggae Boyz, after previously being given his debut by Steve McClaren, showed glimpses of his quality after entering the field as a substitute in the 61st minute.

His first real contribution was an in-swinging cross to Corey Burke from the right in the 79th minute but Burke could not direct his effort on target.

Two minutes later, Fuller arrived at the penalty spot to stab home Dwayne Atkinson's cross to put the Reggae Boyz ahead.

Deep into stoppage time, the player also found room to drill a low shot on goal which was saved by Grenada goalkeeper Chad Phillips.

"That goal has inspired me a lot," Fuller told STAR Sports. "Getting my first goal for the country and leading the team to a victory is a wonderful feeling.

"I am very grateful. As you can see my (Tivoli) teammates are very excited and happy for me. All my friends, loved ones and everybody in the community are all happy for me. "It's a wonderful feeling.

"I went out and expressed myself and did what the coach told me and it worked. I am pleased about the performance."

However, on his return to the JPL on Monday, the day the national team returned from Grenada, Fuller's Tivoli went down 3-2 to Molynes United.

The wily winger came into the game in the 53rd minute and delivered the free kick which eventually led to Tivoli's second goal, late in the match.

However, the forward, who is rumoured to be on his way to Mount Pleasant, said they will look to get things right against Racing United today.

"We are going back to the drawing board to fix things this Thursday (today) and we will be looking to do that," he said.
